Bruce M.AndersonMaster Certified CoachIt is tough being in charge. The talents that propel leaders to their current levels are not necessarily the skills that will keep them there or prepare them for the future. My clients realize this. They have the self-confidence to acknowledge leadership as a path of development, requiring self-knowledge and continuous personal improvement. They approach Thinking Partners for our experience and resources in helping good leaders become great ones. With my corporate and military background in measuring leadership effectiveness, my clients feel comfortable defining their own goals and confidentially identifying what they want to change. They are already motivated to advance their professional goals. I help them to become focused and accountable to move from intentions to achievements. Education and Affiliations:
Personal Background:After getting my undergraduate degree in psychology, I realized that I was more interested in working with normal people than abnormal ones! So I joined the military, earned an MBA and entered the business world. For 15 years I focused on the people side of companies. Later I joined an international organizational consulting firm, where I worked with hundreds of executives, departments and whole companies undergoing stressful transitions. Part of that work involved coaching managers and executives to enhance their leadership and performance capabilities and identifying and conducting change management processes. My objective was to foster the necessary changes to enhance business performance and profitability. I became a recognized expert on several individual assessment tools. With 30 years of corporate experience, it was clear to me that I could be even more effective focusing on building a coaching firm. After thoughtfully building the infrastructure needed to create our business, I became a principal of Thinking Partners Inc. My professional background equipped me well to build the practice. Like all who shift working cultures, I had to address potential loss issues like affiliation and security. I knew, however, that I wanted more control over my work and flexibility in my life. To enhance my credentials, I undertook the rigorous requirements to become a Master Certified Coach. I have trained 40 other coaches and enthusiastically spent over 5000 hours coaching clients individually and working with executive teams.
